What to expect when Aquatrace comes out

There is a short list of things to do before we arrive, a clear order to the visit itself, and a report waiting in your inbox afterward. Here is all three, in the order they happen.

At the waterline

Before the visit

  • A phone consultation first

Rates vary based on the type of swimming pool you have, so a phone consultation is required before we can quote. Call (864) 710-8636 or toll-free (888) 896-AQUA, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

  • Get the pool ready

Covers removed. Pool and spa clean and balanced. Water at its normal operating level. The areas we need to inspect free from obstructions.

  • A number worth watching

If you are adding more than two inches of water a week, you may have a leak. Write the refills down and have them handy when you call.

In the lines

On the day

  • The process, in brief

We measure the water loss against the day’s evaporation, inspect the pool and spa basin (underwater when the shell needs it), pressure test the filtration and plumbing, and listen under the deck to trace underground lines.

  • Simple repairs are included

Simple epoxy and vinyl repairs are done at no additional charge with the service fee.

  • Payment

Fees are due at the time of service. Card payments are welcome and may incur an additional fee.

The six steps in full

In your inbox

After the findings

  • The findings report

A digital copy of the findings report is emailed to you after the inspection, with underwater photographs when we dive the shell.

  • Major repairs

We consult with you and recommend the most cost-effective solution. That is usually your original pool contractor, since we do not otherwise offer repair services.

  • No Find, Full Refund

If the pool is losing half an inch or more of water daily, without a heater in operation, and we fail to locate the source, you receive a refund for the service. We reserve the right to a no-cost revisit, for example to run evaporation tests, if the pool keeps leaking after the first assessment.

  • What is not covered

Leaks that start after our visit.
